Melissa Vega
MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Melissa is a fourth-generation clinician who is passionate about her service in healthcare. Melissa is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with multiple years of experience in treating patients as a hospitalist and in a primary care setting.
As an altruistic caregiver, Melissa is driven to provide exceptional care through education and preventative practices to patients of all backgrounds. Her goal for Reno Primary Care is to provide accessible, comprehensive, compassionate care. When Melissa is not caring for patients, she is a loving wife and mom who also enjoys playing with her two French bulldogs: Peggy Sue & Benny.
David vega
MSN, APRN, FNP-C
David is a bilingual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who welcomes Spanish-speaking patients to Reno Primary Care! He brings to our practice multiple years of clinical experience ranging from geriatrics to acute care. His vision is to establish a trusting, caring partnership with patients that will provide a foundation for flourishing health outcomes.
In his free time, aside from enjoying his time as a husband and father, you can find David cheering for his favorite sports teams or off-roading in the mountains.
Julie Westwood
MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Julie is a third-generation clinician, board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, with many years of diverse experience in healthcare. Her well-rounded experience allows for Julie to sharply diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions. Julie’s compassion along with experience is an integral part of Reno Primary Care.
She takes great pride in developing a nurturing, trusting relationship with patients. When Julie is not caring for patients, she is spending time with her grandchildren or zooming around in her muscle car listening to rock n roll.
Jessica
Medical Assistant
Jessica is a dedicated medical assistant with over 20 years of experience serving the Truckee Meadows community. Born and raised in Reno, Nevada, she has built strong connections with patients, many of whom trust and seek her out by name. Known for her warm and compassionate care, Jessica takes pride in making every patient feel valued and heard.
Outside of work, she is a devoted mother to three sons and enjoys playing disc golf with her dad.
Melanie
Front Office Coordinator
As the front office coordinator, Melanie is the friendly face that greets patients and keeps the office running smoothly. She manages phones, insurance verifications, patient check-ins and check-outs, and scheduling with efficiency and care. Originally from June Lake, California, Melanie recently moved to Reno from Colorado. A proud military mom, she has one daughter currently deployed with the U.S. Navy and another studying nursing at Colorado State University.
Now that her children are grown, she enjoys spending time with friends, family, and her two beloved dogs.
